SAP AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges and drive digital transformation initiatives.
• Select appropriate machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI algorithms based on business requirements and technical feasibility.
• Build, train, evaluate, and optimize AI models to achieve high levels of accuracy, performance, and scalability.
• Fine-tune machine learning models, large language models (LLMs), and Generative AI solutions using advanced techniques and best practices.
• Convert AI and machine learning prototypes into production-ready APIs and enterprise-grade applications.
• Integrate AI solutions with existing SAP and enterprise business applications to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines, model training environments, and production infrastructure.
• Support the deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of AI models in production environments.
• Continuously monitor deployed models for performance degradation, data drift, bias, and reliability concerns.
• Implement model optimization strategies to improve scalability, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business challenges into AI use cases.
• Contribute to AI governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
• Maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and deployment procedures.
• Stay current with emerging AI, machine learning, and Generative AI technologies and industry trends.

Required Experience and Skills

• 6–8 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or AI Engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI technologies.
• Hands-on experience building, training, and deploying machine learning and AI models in enterprise environments.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and Generative AI frameworks.
• Strong understanding of model selection, feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and model optimization techniques.
• Experience developing APIs and integrating AI solutions into business applications and enterprise platforms.
• Knowledge of scalable data pipelines, model training infrastructure, and production AI environments.
• Experience monitoring production models for performance, reliability, and data drift.
• Understanding of MLOps practices, model lifecycle management, and AI deployment strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical AI-driven solutions.
