The Junior AI Engineer Role

Impact and Key Responsibilities

• Breathing life into applications: Design and deploy intelligent features like conversational interfaces, smart recommendation systems, and predictive search, making software feel alive and deeply intuitive for the end-user.

• Bridging the gap between data and code: Solve the common industry challenge of messy data by writing clean, maintainable Python pipelines, ensuring our AI models receive pristine, high-quality information for flawless execution.

• Architecting seamless connections: Build and optimize the vital microservices and RESTful/GraphQL APIs that expose powerful AI capabilities to front-end applications, ensuring lightning-fast performance and robust security.

• Championing engineering excellence: Elevate the team's reliable delivery by writing robust unit tests and utilizing modern observability tools, ensuring our AI features are as stable and dependable as they are innovative.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional experience in a software engineering, AI/ML, or data engineering role, or equivalent project/academic experience.

• Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline.

• Demonstrated experience building or consuming AI/ML APIs in at least one personal, academic, or professional project.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with deploying Python or Node.js services is an advantage.

• Some exposure to Qlik products, analytics platforms, or business intelligence tooling is preferred but not essential.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset — comfortable working in agile/scrum teams and sharing progress in sprint reviews.

• A genuine curiosity about AI, a growth mindset, and a desire to keep up with the rapidly evolving AI engineering landscape.
